Bonus Commentary Episode -Sleepaway Camp

In a brand new feature to the CTGY podcast, Rich and Kelly allow you listeners to go behind the scenes and watch a movie with them. Think of all the things Rich could get away with saying. All the toilet breaks Drunk Kelly might take.

In order for this to work, you must have the film in question at hand, so you can play it at the same time as the duo (they’ll let you know exactly when) and listen along to them ramble throughout it in your ears. This is a work in progress.

When Kelly is too lazy to edit actual podcast episodes, she wants to have a bit of fun by kicking back and watching a movie with her pal Rich. But even better than that, they want YOU to be involved. Entertaining horrors with these two dickheads waffling on throughout it – what could be better? Well, you could watch it alone in peace, but why would you wanna do that?

The full movie we watched on Youtube is listed above if you’d like to listen along to the exact copy.

Bonus episodes of TOTALLY UNEDITED, UNFILTERED content where a panicked Kelly is forbidden from deleting inappropriate comments from Richard are all in this. What might he say? You’ll have to find out.

If the plan intended absolutely sucked – thoughts and abuse or even praise are all welcome.

Comments would be MUCH appreciated.

Cheers!

  1. I’ll share a little Sleepaway Camp story that I will now forever associate with the film.

The last time I had watched the film prior to the commentary was some late night in October 2015. With the sun just about the rise after the movie ended and it being garbage day, I went out to take the cans to the side of the street. I don’t live in the best neighborhood, so I tend to keep my eyes open to keep an eye on everyone when I’m out. When I was coming back from bringing out the last can, I saw this guy walking down the street towards me. No big deal there. Slowly walking back to my backyard and I noticed the guy walk through my strip of grass between the road and the sidewalk. That caught me a little off guard, but again, no big deal. Maybe he just wanted to walk on the sidewalk. Then…this guy raises his arms out out, his eyes bugged out, a big creepy grin and he came charging in my direction. That’s when time slowed down and a bunch of thoughts immediately entered my head:

    – Oh…am I about to get into a fight?

    – I sure hope he doesn’t have a weapon

    – Say, everyone else is asleep, no one is going to be able to see this and help out if this guy pulls a knife or something

    – That gate to get to my backyard is too far away, bastard gate

    – What do I do when he gets near enough? Do I throw the first punch, but what if he’s just fucking around?

    – I’m going to get shanked before I even figure out what to do. RIP Sal Roma

Since doing absolutely nothing seemed stupid and I still wasn’t sure if he was messing with me or not, I opted not to punch him either. Instead, I just raised my arm out and asked what he was doing. That’s when everything stopped, his arms went down, his face went back to normal and he just passed me on the sidewalk. That just made everything even more confusing because if he was A) trying to harm me – why didn’t he? B) If he just wanted to scare me – why didn’t he laugh as he walked away? C) If he was in his own world and not realizing that he came off threatening – why didn’t he at least acknowledge that some stranger thought he was about to be attacked? Personally, I’m just assuming the guy was on some serious drugs.

Now, the biggest reason why I associate that odd encounter with Sleepaway Camp isn’t because I had just finished watching it, but rather the look he had on his face when he charged at me. The face he made was a dead ringer for the face Angela made at the end of Sleepaway Camp.

That look that guy had on his face is burned into my brain. Ha
