We have launched a Discord channel!

The basic idea of this is an attempt to get our listeners together so we can interact with them more. Anyone is welcome and can speak whenever they’d like. If you have news about horror films and want to discuss – feel free. If you want to discuss a film or video game in general – go for it. Or even if you want to comment on an episode of the CTGY podcast, let us know what you think! There will also be announcements within the channel to let you know if an episode has been aired or even if Kelly/Rich are streaming on Twitch, etc.

There may even be different activities down the line such as live commentaries for films that we can all watch at the same time and discuss, after a date/time is arranged that is suitable. Or maybe drinking games..?

Whatever the case, join in and don’t be shy!

If you have an account on Discord already, click the link below to join our group! If you haven’t.. you know what to do..

Hello! As some of you may know, Rich is attending a brand new Comic Con event that is happening in the hometown of CTGY. He will be a special guest, doodling his art and selling his books. There will also be stickers and talks with the CTGY Podcast duo, so if you want to have a chat with us and maybe be included in a future episode of the podcast (if Kelly remembers to bring her dictaphone), feel free to find us! There will be a huuuuge, rad banner of our logo, so we should be easy to spot. – Tickets and more info here!

As you may all know, the CTGY podcast has had re-occuring sound issues since beginning in May of 2016. As much as we’ve tried to solve these issues, we’re still struggling to get everything to sound perfect. As we record via Skype calls, it’s difficult for the sound to always remain decent. This is an issue we will continue to try and solve, and we both hope that you can keep listening, even if we don’t sound the best for now.

As we’ve always been in the habit of choosing a film to review the day or a couple of days before recording, it’s been difficult to find time to watch the film and make decent notes about it. We’ve decided to choose what film we’re going to cover at the start of each month and list them on the website so we have plenty of time to do our homework, and our listeners know what episodes they want to tune in for.

Last thing! Kelly’s drinking habits before recording and during do sometimes make for a funnier episode, but has decided to cut down on her intake of booze when recording. It makes it difficult to edit the episode after and often means speech begins sound slurred. The CTGY podcast will be more professional in future, so hopefully no listeners get fed up and tune out.
